My favorite virtual club...

SECOND LIFE..

At the begining of the semester my English teacher talked us about a web page called Second Life, that was an interesting and funny virtual world where you can meet and chat with people from all over the world by creating and avatar seemed just like you are. So in my last short but profitable vacations (haha) I decided to enter to this site and explore it and I found that I just got online early in the morning and suddenly it was 3 am the next day let me explain you why...

First of all Second Life, as I already said, is a virtual parallel world where you socialize with others. You start by creating your account at http://www.secondlife.com/ here you give some account information and pick your avatar gender, name and last name wich this last one is kind of your profile and distinguishes you from other users. The second step is to download the software wich takes 20 min maximum and finally you run the program and start the trip.

The first thing you have to do is to dress up your avatar and give it a profile, it may be completely different as you are or it may be exactly you. You can also change from the size up to thin details of face and body. The next thing you can do is starting exploring the area by just walking around, asking people, meeting someothers, or even just flying! yes you can fly and it is great, other nice thing is that you can search for places just by puting some clues and if it exists on Second Life you can theleport to there for example Hollywood, a park of amusements, beach, or even Rome, like me here I uploaded images of my avatar visiting Rome and Hollywood.

I really recomend this virtual club, it is very interesting, all the things you can do that maybe you don't do in real life but it is a place where you can project yourself in a certain way, I think you should try it and explore the whole world, meet people, work, earn your own money, spend it in whatever you like, have fun and even enter to the subclubs that exist inside the software and get updated day by day but be careful, you may get adictive to it after a while :S!!..

...Ode to a dog...

At last, our first assignment. Today our teacher asked us to make an "ode" to our favorite animal or our pet, so I chose my dog Zeus to be the main character in this haha.. and this is how it sounds..

Someday I was sleeping
with my teddy bear very tight
and I just wasn't feeling
that they just turned on the light.

I quickly got up
and guess what I found
My new little puppy
just playing arround.

Zeus is his real name
and maybe you don't care

but if you get distracted

he might steal your pen.

Now he is kind of old

but keeps on barking all night long
so now just give up
on trying to shut him up.
